End of the Line

The drama in my A.L.-only home league will never end.

But that's not true. It either ends tomorrow night or Thursday night. And if things don't go my way, it ends earlier.

Last night I tied for the lead and then fell 1/2 point behind twice. This all happened after my opponent gained a point in ERA over someone else thanks to Doug Fister, putting me 1 1/2 back.

Then Kyle Farnsworth came in and got a save. That pushed me ahead of the team I was tied with and into a tie with the team ahead of me. Now I was 1/2 point back.

Then Johnny Giavotella hit a sacrifice fly. Tied.

Then Sergio Santos got a nail biting save. The team I passed in saves tied me again. 1/2 point back.

Next, Miguel Olivo hit a solo shot, breaking my tie in RBI. Tied again.

But Netfali Feliz picked up a save for the team I had tied in saves. Back to 1/2 point back, just as the night ended.

This has been going on for almost a week. My stomach hurts writing about this. I'm glued to the TV and the computer. And I wouldn't have it any other way right now.

This is significantly more interesting than my battle for third place.

Good luck to my fellow league members. And if some of you could tell your pitchers to tank today so I could move up into fourth or even third place, well, that would be nice.
