I will be in NY with Mike this weekend as well. I will be running the live spreadsheet at the N.L. Auction on Sunday so, unfortunately, I will be unable to post any live updates here on the site. I hope, however, to tweet a couple of updates during the break, so make sure you are following TozRotoThink. Otherwise, feel free to follow the live spreadsheet (with hopefully very few mistakes) and/or listen in on Sirius radio.
I am sure we will have plenty to write about next week!

I apologize in advance if this post appears excessively paranoid, but....
Has anyone ever raised a concern about the use of inside information or inequality of access to information in these expert leagues?
Is it fair to think that the Jason Grey's and Cory Schwarz's of the world have, at least, more access to inside information than your everyday blogger who is invited to participate?
If you were in a league with someone who you knew had Ruben Amaro's phone number plugged in to his cell, wouldn't you watch him closely when the bidding on Chase Utley came up? Should your readers, as laypersons, give any more weight to the players that they target vs the players targetted by non-insiders?
Hey Shoresie -
In this day and age, we all have access to so much information that the "insider" versus "non-insider" concerns do not seem to be an issue. One, everyone at the auction has a computer and a phone. Twitter pretty much gets everything on the wire within minutes. Two, to address your Ruben Amaro example, I do not think that Ruben is going to call and tell Jason or Cory Chase' condition before anyone else knows about it on the local level.
Third, the issue as to the targeting of players by "insiders." Every expert, from my conversations with them this weekend, has his own pricing strategy and auction strategy. Some guys target players; some guys project spending for positions; etc. For most players, I would say the answer is no: I don't think you should give those players any more or less weight. I admit to my own curiosity on the fringe players or rookies; that seems to be a place where you may tick a guy up a dollar or down a dollar based on expert targeting, though the experts have their own diverse group of "darlings" for lack of a better term.
