Winding Down

I had planned to post two or three more times before the regular season ended, but I find that I'm running on fumes a little bit lately. I might post something later today or early tomorrow morning, but it probably won't be anything earth-shattering or heavy on the analysis.

As soon as the regular season ends I'll start crunching numbers and calculating N.L. and A.L. values for 2007. This is a time-consuming process, so blogging during the major league play-offs will also be light.

One of my long-term goals for the blog is to write as much analysis over the winter about the previous season as possible. I got off to a late start last year because I had a newborn in the house, but I'm hoping to get up to speed this year in early to late-November.

Any suggestions or ideas of what you want to see in this space this winter is extremely welcome. I'm always looking for input from my readers, and your feedback and own expert opinions are a significant reason I've kept this blog going for the past 10 months.

If your team is still in a tight pennant race, good luck in the trenches this weekend.

Mike does not include me in the "wishing you luck" sentiments. Luck for me would equate to second place, and I can assure you that Mike does not like finishing second.
